Mounbè is a structured red wine, based on Barbera according to the tradition typical of this area called “Montebello”, hence the name of the wine. The vineyard lies on clay soils; vinification and ageing take place in oak vats for over a year.

This wine is a great accompaniment to meat and other strong-flavoured dishes.

• Grape varieties: Barbera 85%, Dolcetto 10%, Ancellotto 5%
• Harvest: by hand in small boxes
• Yield: 5 tons/ha
• Yeasts: grapes’ own
• Maceration: 35 days
• Evolution: fermentation in big wooden vats; ageing 7/8 months in big vats, and another 7/8 months in 500 l barrels.
• Total sulphites: 33.0 mg/l
